ECALL & ERA-GLONASS
The installation of automated, eCall emergency call technology has been mandatory for new car models since April 1st, 2018. According to EU regulation 2015/758, car manufacturers must integrate the eCall system in all new models – passenger cars (M1) and light commercial vehicles (N1). In order to be approved, newly introduced eCall systems must demonstrate the requirements set out in EU Regulation 2017/79.

ACCORDING TO UN-R 144
These new UN regulations, which became enforceable in July of 2018, are part of the “Global Decade of Action for Road Safety”, a plan proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly to reduce road accidents around the world. Regulation UN-R 144 applies to member states of the UNECE (United Nations Economic Commission).
